Now my 'virtual prototype' mimics on the PC screen the text appearing in the PIC-powered text display module. BTW, I tried some Win32API console commands at home on Sunday. They fired up okay, but were inclined to cause crashes. Other disadvantages include pulling in a large and tying the code to Windows. There are commands for adding mouse facilities, but I think I can live without these for now.
