Hello to all,

I am reading this list from time to time and it helps great in my
designs...

Now I am trying to design an lcd 7 segment display system with HD66100
from hitachi (the former product was HD44100 but they say that it does
not exist anymore)and pic 16f84.the disp device has M clock input for
lcd pulses a shift register for seg. data and a latch .I wish to shift
in the data and then latch it ,afterwards forget about the display say
one hour.
but I am confused from the technical manual and got the impression that
I have to refresh the data in relation with the M and CL1 pulse.

Does anyone used this display driver before in this way?can I use it
like this ?or do I have to refresh data periodically to have a stable
lcd view..?

If anyone has an answer for this problem I will appreciate very much
