Hello All,
I've read about cases where the PIC has locked
up due to brownout conditions, etc. Can anyone point me to a simple circuit
which will help prevent this from occurring? I'm looking at using the 12C508
with a "wall wart" transformer.
One general question along these lines: If I use
some sort of reset chip (like the Dallas DS1233-5), is it sufficient to simply
hook this up to the MCLR pin on the PIC, or do I need to have it actually
interrupt the power to the PIC in order to prevent the lockup?
I guess another question would be whether I need
any sort of surge protection as well. Again, if anyone can point me to some
standard "this is how we always do it" circuit, that would be
great!
Thanks in advance for any advice...
Mark
