GALs are cheap (22V10 is about USD 3 here) and you can put a lot of SSI and MSI logic in this chip. I am not sure, but I also think that isp versions are flash (reprogrammable). There is free version of DOS equation compiler. So, the only thing you need is a programmer. I did not yet received the Lattice CD, but from their web page, it seems that their isp22V10 is simply programmable by 5 pins. I also got the link to some web page, where is the schematic for a simple programmer. I will try to build one.
