In the Root ? Than you could have an out-of-filename-storage error (root directory full). It gives the same error ... :-( Especially with loooonnnnggg filenames the root is full in a jiffy ... I'm verry curious, so if you want to humor me do the next : The next time you get the "file name is not valid" -error delete a big file on the target-drive/directory. Than _create_ a verry small one with the _same_ name. You free'd up some space, but used the same amount of directory-entries. Now try to create again. If the same error pop's up, the problem seems not to be storage space. Let me know what the result was :-) Greetz, Rudy Wieser
