Hi All,

I have been told of a bunch (1000+) of 16 bit EPROM chips that
are for sale and wondered if I should buy some for future 16C7X
development that I might want to get involved in.  They are pulls
but from unused equipment.

The type is as follows  (40 pin Cerdip)

   MALAYSIA
  [AMD Logo]
  [Window]
   AM27C1024
   -120ODC
   9740MPM
   12.75V PGM

What other latches/decoders would be needed with these ?

What speed could one run the PIC at ?

A quick (very) glance in the data books did not show any application
notes that had a sample schematic using these.  Would they be worth
getting at around half of the market value (min order 100) ?
