Hello PIC-friends,
1)are there any LCD (16-)character displays without on-board processor
  availlable ? If yes, where and how expensive ?
  And is it possible to control & drive them with a PIC 16C7X ?
  (The ones with on-board processor are for me too expensive (>15$), do
   not support writting letters upside down and do not support
   sufficient chinese symbols.)

2)Which PIC-Type of the three PIC16C72,PIC16C73,PIC16C74 types (each also
  with -A ending) is the cheapest if bought in amounts of 100, and where
  to get it (prefering Europe)?
