I recently received the attached request from Barry Kauler. If anyone is interested in taking him up on the challenge please get in touch with him via the e-mail address provided. David -- I don't know much about the PIC, except to note that it is very popular. I developed a tiny multitasking operating system for the 8051 -- originally written in assembly, at only 650 bytes. Recently I have rewritten it in C, and this leads to interesting possibilities. I would like to invite interested persons with PIC skills to have a go at compiling it to run on a PIC chip. This will be a very interesting exercise. The operating system is called CREEM, and is true multitasking, and the source code is 100% C. There are some hardware dependent bits of course, such as access to registers in the context switch. Would you be interested in broadcasting this invitation?
