The vcard.vcf is a different beast than the trash that Exchange, Outlook and ccMail tack on to each message. The attachment you describe is a "virtual id card" that serves to provide personal and business information to the recipient of the email. It is kind of like saying "oh, and by the way, here's my card". These are most useful when you are accessing a web site that can automatically read your vcf file to fill in a registration form or the like. There is a lot more useless noise on this list to worry about than electronic calling cards and automatic attachments added by badly behaved email readers. I personally hate the messages where someone says "hey everyone, I just wrote this nifty little utility, it's only 1Meg, and here it is in case you're interested". I have the same experience/complaint, most commonly with a gem named vcard.vcf
