Hi, I recently purchased a JCV SVHS deck, it has an interface to the pc via serial port, there is s/w for pc to controll power, play, stop, ff etc on the video, compile an edit list and with some extra h/d download images to the pc. The standrd is called JLIP(Joint Level Interface Protocol). JVC make several devices which hook up to this bus, like camcorders and even a dye sublimation printer to print screen captures from a video source. I have found some basic info about the protocol from JCV's web site, like 9600,8,even,1 for the serial link, and there is a level converter cct between pc and JLIP devices. but thats all I could find out. I want to get some more info on the protocol, so that I can connect a pic on the bus and do interesting stuff, control tv, slide projector, cassette deck, the list goes on. does anyone know anything about it? or know who at JVC to contact to find out? or anyone on this list work for JVC? Any info will be appreciated Thanks Andrew | | "For God so loved the world that ----+---- he gave his only son, that who | so ever believes in him will not | perish but have eternal life" | John 3:16 | |
