Hundred percent agree. They have beautiful datasheets and samples, but no delivery and very expensive parts. Example parts with special agreement, like You accept one of the parameters does not meet with datasheet spec. It happened to us, I designed the part in based on spec sheet and samples. Finally we stuck with a 3 months lead time or a choose a "special parts" which had a spec problem exactly on that spot why we selected. It was a very bad situation for me and since then every design I make my boss asks the question : No MAXIM parts designed in , right ? Maxim do some nice stuff, but I've found it's usually too expensive to use in volume products, and you can't get production parts at sensible leadtimes. ____ ____ _/ L_/ Mike Harrison / White Wing Logic / wwl@netcomuk.co.uk _/ L_/ _/ W_/ Hardware & Software design / PCB Design / Consultancy _/ W_/ /_W_/ Industrial / Computer Peripherals / Hazardous Area /_W_/
