Sorry, Craig, I have checked the Scenix web site and they are talking about their SX Demo board. It would be easier to start off with something directly than reading indirect materials. Thanks for your help, anyway. (National Semiconductor has an app. note #561 - I2C bus, interface with HPC, 20 pages. If somebody reads it, will be even more confuse!!)
