This is just my opinion.
I do not think any body will  buy x-ray machine to
erase any otp's. ( sounds like no thing to do )
engineers or hackers just wants to more about PIC MCUs or
they like it a lot  wants to learn more about it.
what are they going to do with it I do not know. this is what I know
if Microchip found that  OTP's are enable by x-ray  they will
come up a solution right a way you do not even notice it.
