I want to use some motor (servos, etc) to be able to move a platform in 2 planes (I may add 3 if I'm in a daring mood). What I want to know is how to select a motor and to calculate the speed I need to get everything to move smoothly? I could do it by trial and error but would prefer to do it right with a minimal amount of hassle (am I lazy or what :-) ). My intentions are to build a platform for my qcam and have be able to look around the room.
