The self discharge life is not as good as Lithium but the manufacturers claim several years shelf life without significant loss of capacity. Cost is far less than for Lithium batteries. The Lithium cell has about double the terminal voltage so the above quoted amp-hour capacity would equate to similar energy capacities.
