How many thousands of dollars is it? I see Microchip is now marketting something called SIMICE, and it is heavily integrated with MPLAB. At the upcoming seminar, it will be sold for $99. It's not real time, and only supports 12CXX, and 16C5X parts, but $99 bucks for something you can actually probe vs. $5000 CAN+ which probes me, and my pocketbook!
