you can use the microchip application notes for asynchronous coms, with
or with out on chip USART.
also, check out LINX TECHNOLOGIES and RF SOLUTIONS on the web. They both
make RF transmit and recieve modules.
you may need to keep the baud rate low ie 2400 baud.
