They should also be on their web-site (www.microchip.com) There are also multiple designs & software (made by fellow Pic-listers and alike) floating around this list. I build a re-designed programmer (based on the AN589 document) for the 16C84 and wrote my own code to go with it. It consist outof a 74125 one BC547 a 78L12, a 78L05 and some resistors and a Printer-port connector (about Fl15,- dutch guilders (7$)). it needs a non-regulated 16 volt power supply. It works.
