Get a MAX232 chip and 5 10uf electrolytic capacitors (actually I've seen circuit diagrams with anything from 1 uf to 22 uf in them... I've used the 10s and they work). Check out www.maxim-ic.com for the data sheets on the 232 to show how to hook them up. I've done a number of these and they've worked reliably every time. John Hansen, W2FS hansen@fredonia.edu
