I was hoping to get a solution for this anyway, not
that I need it, It«s just a fun "hack". :)

It could be useful to.
You could write a small program on the Linux box and have the PIC sending
key-sequenses. Than you don«t have to use the LPT-port if you wan«t to
interface some fun hardware to the computer.
