Some years ago i bought a complete 68HC05K1 start-kit from a Motorola undertaker. It includes databook, Very good microprocessor learning book, assembler, simulator and programmer that also act like at PC driven processor emulator (far from real-time, but useful) Price was only about $100 One problem with it is that it uses the LPT-port and can not communicate with modern fast PC. Now i changed the on-board crystal from 4 to 8 MHz, and lower my Pentium to 66 MHz when i use it. (installed a special switch in PC...)
