Before, in MPLAB 3.31, the Project Window listed all include and header
files etc, and new got added automatically by include commands in the main
.asm.

Very convenient to just klick in Project window on the includes to edit them.

Now, in MPLAB 3.40 I only see the main asm.

What to do?
