Stig, I've designed a PIC16C77-based weather station that sends real-time and recorded data to a PC via the serial port. I used VBasic. Amongst other things it graphs temperatures and other parameters. I normally use C/C++ but I was surprised at how easy it was to do the GUI in VBasic. I'm still using VB4 Pro and I just used the built-in MSCOM control for the serial interface. - Tom At 12:14 AM 4/27/98 +0200, Stig Brautaset wrote: >Does anyone have any experience with Visual Basic communicating with a pic? Let us say f.ex. 16C84? I'm interested in hearing from others if anyone have tried it out earlier. I would like to make a program that collected data from different sources and make a visual image of the results. (Example: graphical output of the temperature every minute for twenty-four hours) I'm a newbie at both PIC programming and VB programming, so I'll be happy to hear from others. >------------------------------------------------------------ >Stig Brautaset >sbrautas@c2i.net
