Use Comm Control 5.0 OCX controls of VB5 for RS-232 communication. It is very easy to use. There are commercial OCX available for communication control via RS-232 or parallel port but you probably don't want to pay for it. Let us say f.ex. 16C84? I'm interested in hearing from others if anyone have tried it out earlier. I would like to make a program that collected data from different sources and make a visual image of the results. (Example: graphical output of the temperature every minute for twenty-four hours) I'm a newbie at both PIC programming and VB programming, so I'll be happy to hear from others.
