I was just wanting some hints and tips on designing a fiber based
communications system with a PIC
We were wanting to use a 17C756 as the base for our telemetry system
and since there are 3 fibers in the cable, why not use them instead
of RS485?
Baud Rate?? anything over 50K would be wasted probably. Any ideas ?
Homebrewed preferably. Straight digital. i.e.. no op amps. Maybe one
amp stage then into a Schmidt trigger then into a buffer or something
like that.
