It has been a while since I have sent this to the PIC list so for all the newcomers (during the last year or so): PICBots is a robotic simulation. It allows you to write a control program for a robot using any PIC compiler (or assembler) and then pit these robots against each other (or against you) in the simulation. It is an excellent educational tool for both embedded programming using the PIC chip as well as principles of robotics. Rather than go the "easy" way, PICBots was designed so that the information you got was realistic (and limited). This forces you to deal with the same problems that you would have with a "real" robot. The hope is that at a later point in time, someone (perhaps us) will actually create robots that use these same controls and these programs can be played out in a physical arena!! In PICBots each bot has a PIC16C74 processor which you can write programs for. For more information, and to download PICBots go to http://www.innovatus.com Thanks, Alan G.
