I contacted my local sales rep after waiting serveral weeks from the time I recieved the original "Your name has been forwarded to you local sales rep" letter from Microchip. The local rep said they would "Take care of me right away". I haven't heard from them since. Meanwhile, Cindy Trotto posted the PIC list response. I decided to wait on the "Local Rep" for another week. No luck. I then emailed the address that Cindy posted. Not a word for two weeks. I contacted Microchip again and got a respose telling me that my CD would be mailed that week and that I should contact them (this week) if it did not arrive. Well, it didn't arrive so contacted Microchip again today and got an immediate response notifying me the my CD was being FedEx'd to my address. We'll see if it gets here.... All of this trouble for a CD! I am not even asking for free samples! I am only an "honest" hobbiest with many engineer friends and co-workers. I think, even though I will not be buying thousands of parts, that they would value my good will and my free word of mouth advertising! I might as well start pulling old 8031 and 8051 mcu's from discarded modems! I think it is dishonest for me to pretend to be a manufacturer or an engineer. Dan,,,, patiently awaiting my CD. ******************************* * Dan Larson * * Software Engineer * * Micro Control Company * * email: dlarson@citilink.com * *******************************
