Hello,

I have a need to put several pics on parallel lines.  I have to go about
1000ft, so I plan on using rs485.  What size wire should I use to provide
power to these pics?  I was going to use 6 conductor cat5 cable.

This is what I was planing.  Use 4 conductors for data and pic selection,
the other two would be for power.  I would call a pic by using an and
condition on two of the wires to select the pic.  The other two would be
used for communications.

Anybody done anything like this?
