Both the Parallel and serial ports on a Portfolio aren't at the usual
addresses as seen on an XT, even though it supposed to be DOS 2 point
something compatible.

Sure it could be done with a bit of effort. The parallel port uses an
8255, so special drivers are required here. The serial port is more of a
standard uart setup, but the control register addresses differ.

Sorry I can't find the info now, I played around with it about 1989-1990
I think. I suggest getting onto the small groups that still exist. A
search engine should bring results.
