Check the kit with another computer. I found that a PIC-1 didn't work on my
Aopen AX5T-3 board for some reason, but on a Compaq Presario 2230, and all
the way down to an XT machine, no problem.

Hi there!

I've just received ITU's PIC-1 Programmer and tried burning
a program into a PIC16F84, but encountered problems.  The
ITU software fails in downloading the program into the chip.
One thing which I've noticed was the programming software
which I've received had only the option of 16CXX and 12CXX, but
none for 16FXX. I just want to know if anyone has bought this
programmer and used it for 16F series chips. If so, how?
