When I obtained a couple of plug-in timers which quoted the need to
plug them in for a minute or so before they would display, and a
retention of about a week, I thought "Super-Cap".

  I was wrong!  They contain a Ni-Cd.

  The retention of about a week for the Super-Cap sounds about right for
my experience using one to replace a Ni-Cd in a radio.  I thught a
bigger one would have been better, but apparently it's as well I didn't
bother!
