Hi... i've a Pic hooked to a zif socket and i use it to program some chips.. sometimes i need to have about 12-18 volts on a pin of the zif socket which is also connected to the PIC. What's the better way to protect the PIC? It's better to set the pic pin as input, output high or output low? What about the resistor value? The pic is a 16C5x, so , AFAIK, the current should be limited to 10/15mA, but, even with the limiting resistor, the PIC should still be able to drive a TTL input... -- - *Alex* - http://freepage.logicom.it/azummo/
