Gennady, The best place to start with agency certification is a good test lab to learn about the different standards of various international agency requirements. I've used CKC Laboratories, Inc. quite a bit. They're a reliable company - HP, Microsoft, KLA-TENCOR, etc. use them. Check out their websight: http://www.ckc.com/ From there, you can link to other sights. I think this will definitely help get you started. As for your certification of systems/boards, I would think the entire system certification needs to be performed (but don't take my word for it - everyone's product situation is different), but if you are selling single boards that plug into systems other than your own, they may need to be individually tested and certified for compliance as well. Check with the qualified experts of any decent certification / testing lab. Good Luck! ;-) Cheers, Chuck Mauro > -----Original Message----- > From: Gennady Palitsky [SMTP:gennadyp@MAINLINK.NET] > Sent: Thursday, March 05, 1998 12:40 AM > To: PICLIST@MITVMA.MIT.EDU > Subject: [OT?] UL and FCC certification > > I need an advice from experienced people. > What would be the best way to start with UL and FCC certification? > Other questions: we have system consisting of 7 boards in a cage, > almost all > of them with 1-2 controllers (including PICs, of coarse).
