Hello all,

I don't mean to offend anyone, but I though this might be of interest to members of this list.

I have developed an NT 4.0 driver/dll combination that allows safe direct IO access to parallel ports from usermode programs i.e. standard win32 apps.

This might allow programming software to migrate more quickly to the NT environment (hence my note to the list).

Features:
- One function call is all that is required to claim the parallel port.
- Safely claims port to ensure no disturbance to printing jobs or
other drivers using the NT parallel port allocation scheme.
- Timing much better than 16bit dos emulation mode,
(but not quite as good as true kernel mode).
- Very reasonably priced per copy or royalty free product license available.

Email me privately if anyone is interested.

Thanks for your time.
