You asked about accessing the "Embedded Controller Handbook" from the
Microchip website.

The "Embedded Controller Handbook" is just a collection of Microchip
application notes. These are available from the Microchip website home page
under Developer's Toolbox / Application Notes.

These Application Notes are also available, listed by number, from the first
screen of the Microchip CD-ROM under Appnotes. They are catalogued in the
Xrefdoc.pdf file in this same screen.

In both cases, Acrobat Reader 3 will be required. This is included on the
CD-ROM.
