Hi all! I'm looking for a device programmer that's relatively inexpensive, but more importantly, that does and will continue to support any and all PIC microcontrollers. I'm particularly interested in the PICs that are supposedly coming out 4th quarter of this year. I've heard good things about Needham's programmers and have visited their web site but I always find it more beneficial to consult those in-the-know... namely, everyone on this list. I was impressed with their EMP-30 programmer and was wondering if anyone owns or has used one. I noticed that while the EMP-30 supports quite a few of the PIC micro line, there are some parts that it does not. Is this because certain PICs are grouped by family and so simply referred to by one general part number or are they simply not supported? Any information would be most appreciated. Thanks!!!
