I've used the UPD6450, it has now been dropped from production but is
still currently available while stocks last!. Datasheets are very hard
to obtain, I haven't been able to find them on the NEC web site - but I
did get one (EVENTUALLY!!!!) for it's replacement from the NEC
distributers in the UK, but am still waiting for actual samples of the
chip :-(.
