Earlier today I wrote about receiving my SX-Key. Steve Baldwin asks: > Would you mind posting the software version and the date codes of the chips > too. I got version 0.2 of the software. For those of you who are curious as to the contents of the disk: SXKey.exe the host program (obviously) sxkey.txt description of the instruction set SX-Key Manual.PDF manual in Acrobat format example.SRC program to toggle rb.0 (in main) and rb.1 (in timer interrupt) pwm.SRC program to generate eight PWMs using timer interrupt sxdemo.SRC fancy demo program demonstrates "virtual peripherals" including timers, frequency generator, UART, PWM, and ADC. Accepts commands from serial port to control everything. The 18-pin chips are marked: logo SX18AC/DP SCENIX 9749 and the 28s read: SX28AC/DP 9747 The latter have no logo. There are no markings on the underside of either size. > I didn't get an eval board. What are they using for a clock source ? It's a surface mount crystal; it appears to be marked 50.00, although the lighting here (and my eyes) are not so good. I didn't think one could get fundamental-mode crystals at that high a frequency. There are pads next to the crystal for two capacitors which are not loaded. The SX-Key itself uses a surface mount SX20AC/SS, date code 9749, and a 50.00 MHz crystal. Cheers, Eric
