Somewhere, there is a FAQ that describes the problems with programming PAL's
and GAL's....  check out sci.electronics and newsgroups attached to it...

Manufacturer's used to publish the programming algorithms but have since
stopped in favour of seemingly more profitable arrangements.  Seek out older
databooks - used bookshops, amateur radio flea markets, etc. - and you might
find the information you are seeking.
