For the small LCD, try Batron (i don't have an address, but their 
     small 16x1 and 16x2 LCDs are sold by Farnell, and I'm sure Batron do 
     8x1)

   The LCD I need have to be small, so I look for a 8 char by 1 row LCD or
similar. The ones I have are too big to fit in the box (16x1 and 16x2), and 
I really don't need 16 characters.
