Not sure about USA, but Don McKenzie at DonTronics in Melbourne Australia has a pretty cool board called the DT101. Have a look at it at http://www.dontronics.com/dt101.html For US$6 you get enough room for a 16C84 (16F84), MAX232, RTC, EEPROM, 12bit ADC, and a little bit of proto area. He even offers free mail delivery!!!
