Hi All, My name is Evgeni Nikolov. Currently I'm working as an AS/400 programmer for Deloitte & Touche. In my free time I use to do some programming on PIC16F84 microcontroller (http://www.microchip.com/10/Datasheet/PICmicros/PIC16F8X/PIC16F84.htm) . Now I am working on a project witch combines PIC16 and a FM receiver. Together they can receive and decode POCSAG-coded paging messages from national service provider (in Bulgaria there are several). The digital part of the device is almost ready. But I have very little experience with RF devices, so I need help very much. The module I'm looking for is RF receiver and FM demodulator for 150.175 MHz. I prefer to be able to tune to different frequencies. The step is 20 kHz and deviation is 4 kHz. I2C protocol is preferable but any other is OK. I found many pager receiver chips, but they are rather complicated (have more than 10 coils) and don't have any tuning capability. After some research I have found two chips from Phillips (TSA6057 and TEA6100 http://www-us.semiconductors.philips.com/cgi-bin/newsearch/pip?typenr=TSA6057&search=TSA6057 and http://www-us.semiconductors.philips.com/cgi-bin/newsearch/pip?typenr=TEA6100&search=TEA6100). But as far as I can understand they need extra elements and I don't know how to connect each other. So - that is. Help! Of course after (if) I finish this project I will publish it in my web page ((http://www.bis.bg/~ecn) for free and everybody will have it. Thanx in advance. Evgeni
