You can find more info at http://www.sq-1.com. There is a section in that book which will walk you right through an LCD interface. With the circuit, code and explanation, you should have nothing to worry about. While on the site you may want to check out his first book if you've never worked with the PICs. It is written especialy for beginners and will take you through some basic concepts and examples. Good luck with your project.
