Kevin , Look for wingate on yahoo, they have a nice proxy server that comes free (in a one user combination) serves as mail , ftp , www, telnet proxy etc. this means that you can be connected at the server and one other user can be on the net on a machine hooked up to an Ethernet card or similar I use this combination successful on my home network (two PC's with Ethernet card and crossover cable , no hub needed) my wife can browse the net whenever my machine is on , dialing and browsing will work transparently for a more than one user trial version you need a password that will give you the opportunity to run it for a fixed period (send them email) It works great ! Peter Check out how I think about Packard Bell computers And tell me about your experience with them (I might put it on my page) http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Lab/5883 mailto:pvh@microserve.net -----Original Message----- >At 10:02 PM 1/21/97 +0200, you wrote: >Does anyone know of freeware that allows you to share a single internet >connection (dial -up) over a win95 network. > >The ones one tucows.com are all 30 day trail runs... > >Please e-mail me personally. > >Regards >Kevin >
