Occasionally posts to this list contain a lot of extra baggage such as: ------ =_NextPart_000_01BD25C5.8BC30200 Content-Type: application/ms-tnef Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64 eJ8+IgEXAQaQCAAEAAAAAAABAAEAAQeQBgAIAAAA5AQAAAAAAADoAAEIgAcAGAAAAElQTS5NaWNy b3NvZnQgTWFpbC5Ob3RlADEIAQ2ABAACAAAAAgACAAEEkAYA4AIAAAIAAAANAAAAAwAAMAMAAAAL AA8OAAAAAAIB/w8BAAAAWAAAAAAAAACBKx+kvqMQGZ1uAN0BD1QCAAAAAHBpYyBtaWNyb2NvbnRy b2xsZXIgZGlzY3V .... and so on for dozens of lines. Evidently the above contains another copy of the message in mime(?) format. On a number of occasions I have sent the poster a private note, including a copy of their post as it came through. It all cases, I received pleasant responses indicating surprise that their messages had so much garbage included. Most have been able to make the necessary changes but some have no idea what is causing the problem. The common denominator seems to be Microsoft mailers. I have no experience with these. If anyone knows where the magic switches are, you would be doing us all a favor if you could provide some advice. It would cut down significantly on the size of the mail packets. -- Bob Fehrenbach Wauwatosa, WI bfehrenb@execpc.com
