The best way to learn about DSP, however is to buy one of the low-cost kits, like the EZ-KITs from Analog Devices, and play about with it. You can also get a lot of info from the comp.dsp newsgroup. I'll be putting details of a very simple (three chips), low-cost (~$50) DIY DSP system using the ADSP-2104 up on my Web site tomorrow: http://www.lfheller.demon.co.uk/diy_dsp.htm The prototype was wire-wrapped. I'm designing a 4-layer PCB for a more sophisticated version with an RS-232 port for connection to a PC.
