Yeah, but it only runs Windows and Win95 ... NO WinNT or DOS support.
The Parallax device runs under DOS, which recently saved my backside.  I
do, however, like (and use) the MP-LAB Environment to write / compile my
code ... then burn the PIC with Parallax's programmer.

P.S.  FWIW...The Parallax product is Parallel port based, and the PIC
Start Plus uses a serial port.
