Try the Hitech C Compiler.  It is only for the 16cXX parts but 17cXX support
is being added.  The people at Hitech are good about supplying patches and
the compiler is very stable and is as close to an ANSI C compiler as you are
going to find.  Check them out at www.htsoft.com
