Their stock was in the $40 range a few months ago, and it's been steadily dropping... Today it's at 16-5/8, and the company has just announced its intention to buy back 5 million shares (in addition to the 5 million they bought two years ago). Microchip's stock is also doing pretty poorly, although not quite as badly as Atmel's...
