hi you seem to know a lot about links ir hf and so on.could you help me to find a link to my portable laptop to either my stationary pc or direct to a modem.i want to be able to move around in the house with the portable and still be able to use internet modem (dialup).range should be about 50 meters
or more
i prefer hf but could also use ir .what i found sofare is readybuilt hf modules but i need the speed to handle 33600kps and the protocoll to handle the communication without interups.

You've just described the transmitter used in the Heart Rate monitors
>from the Polar company.  They are like magic - they use almost no
power.  Their TX distance is over a foot. Thet come in a sealed
enclosure that includes the battery.  The battery is good for a couple
years!

They don't release schematics, but someone may want to take one apart
and check it out.
